Befriending

Isolation and loneliness are the main issues for many of the older members of our society. TerraBlu wants to encourage people as a whole to take more of an interest in their elderly neighbours. They all have interesting stories to tell and, given the opportunity, knowledge to impart. A chat over a cup of tea can be the high point of the day for many.

It costs nothing to offer help with small errands, to pick up some shopping or just pass the time of day; but the rewards are great. Often elderly people don't like to ask, assuming that people are too busy, but how long does it take to replace a light bulb or buy a pint of milk?
