Training

Each support worker has a training plan administered monthly by UKHCA in consultation with TerraBlu’s Care Manager. These individual plans exceed the minimum requirement laid down by CSCI. Staff are paid for all training hours and training is given irrespective of any grants or funding available.

The following courses are offered to staff: Manual Handling, Infection Control, First Aid, Health and Safety, Dementia Awareness, Medication, Protection of Vulnerable Adults, Food Hygiene, Coping with Challenging Behaviour, Child Protection, Epilepsy Awareness, Multiple Sclerosis Awareness, Parkinsons Awareness, Catheter Care, Pressure Sores and after six months, NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care.
