As an approved provider to Kent County Council, the contracts department regularly reviews the standard of care delivery both by inspections and by coordinating feedback from KCC Care Managers and other professionals. The last inspection by KCC Contracts staff was in November 2007.
TerraBlu Ltd is a member of United Kingdom Homecare Association (UKHCA) – the professional association of home care providers from the independent, voluntary, not-for-profit and statutory sectors. This organisation is involved in consulting with the government on standards of care. To retain its membership TerraBlu must agree to abide by their code of practice.
TerraBlu was inspected by Quality South East and awarded 'Investors In People' status in December 2008. Their report spoke of the 'culture of learning and development within this organisation. A great deal of emphasis is placed upon workforce stability (and consequently stability in the delivery of care for the client group).' The Care Academy and Care Ambassador programmes were both praised. For more info see the Academy page.
The report went on to say that all people interviewed by the assessor said that they felt valued. It also identified that the management structure had been changed over the past couple of years, now paying dividends and that labour turnover has substantially reduced.
